Prince William County’s Regional Parks and Community Centers are true hubs of community, offering diverse amenities like sports fields, trails, pavilions, pools, marinas, and many others along with recreation programming. A 4,400+ acre park system comprised of 81 properties and 60+ trail miles for your enjoyment.

    A COMMUNITY OF CHOICE FOR ALL.     Preschool

    Our state-licensed Preschool prides itself on providing a quality program that emphasizes learning through play, in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Preschool provides thoughtfully planned experiences and opportunities, which stimulate learning in all developmental areas: social, emotional, physical, and cognitive.

    Scouting

    We offer an expansive Scouting Program that’s run year round. Our trained BSA certified counselors will provide Cub Scouts the opportunity to earn rank advancement and Scouts BSA the opportunity to earn merit badges.

    Science in the Park

    This highly-rated program is based on the Virginia SOL Science curriculum. Our Science in the Park specialty instructors provide hands-on science lessons utilizing the resources of our beautiful parks as an outdoor classroom.

Birchdale Community Center

Located at the entrance of the Birchdale Community in Dale City, the Birchdale Community Center is a 2,500 square foot community center with meeting and event space available to rent. Amenities include a 25-meter outdoor pool with wading area and bath house, a playground, pavilions, basketball courts and a skate park.

Pat White Center at Ben Lomond

Pat White Center at Ben Lomond (formally known as "The Barn" and "Ben Lomond Community Center") is built on land that was once a part of the Ben Lomond Historical Site. The building was designed to resemble the dairy barn that was an important part of the farming business of Ben Lomond and the surrounding community. The community center continues the tradition of community support by providing programming and specialty classes for all ages for the residents of Prince William County and surrounding counties.

Veterans Memorial Park

Veterans Memorial Park/Community Center is adjacent to the beautiful Marumsco Creek, Featherstone National Wildlife Refuge and Occoquan Bay National Water Reserve. For nature lovers and trail enthusiasts, Veterans Memorial Park is a must-visit. The park is also home to several sports leagues including swimming, soccer, football, baseball, softball, Little League, basketball and volleyball. The community center hosts open gym days for basketball, sports classes, pickle ball, playschool, summer and mini-camps, and other activities.

Lake Ridge Park

Lake Ridge Park is located directly on the Occoquan Reservoir, in the Lake Ridge community, this 74-acre park maintains unencumbered public access to the Occoquan Water Trail with breath-taking views. The Lake Ridge Park marina offers three-season boat rentals, with a universal access boat launch and dock access. For land recreation, visitors will enjoy playground areas, horseshoe pits and nature trails.

Locust Shade Park

Located next to the Marine Corps Heritage Museum, and minutes from I-95, Locust Shade Park offers much more than scenic beauty, tranquil water, and picturesque trails. Amenities include seven pavilions (available to rent), playgrounds, tennis courts, volleyball courts, 3.2 miles of scenic nature trails, a 15-station fitness trail, batting cages, a driving range, an 18-hole miniature golf course, Warrior Challenge Course, fishing in an eight-acre pond and the Jean C. Smith Amphitheater, an outdoor performance venue that presents family entertainment during the summer season.

Neabsco Regional Park

Neabsco Regional Park encompasses 300 acres of natural, recreational, and historic amenities including the Rippon Lodge Historic Site, Rippon Landing, the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail Neabsco Creek Boardwalk, Julie J. Metz Neabsco Creek Wetlands Preserve, and portions of historic Kings Highway.

Silver Lake Regional Park

Silver Lake Regional Park is a designated passive recreation park with 230 acres of rolling meadows, pine forests and a 23-acre lake fed by Little Bull Run Stream. The park opens at sunrise and closes at sunset. There are no trash cans at Silver Lake Park. Park visitors are responsible for removal of their own trash. What you bring into the park, you must take out of the park.

Catharpin Regional Park Gaines a New Children’s Playground

The ribbon cutting marked the completion of one more aspect in Phase II of the park development project. The Phase II plan calls for the construction of six rectangular fields, ADA parking facility and an asphalt trail.
