Swim Lessons

Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, Prince William County Parks, Recreation & Tourism will only be offering a limited selection of swim classes at both of our indoor aquatic facilities. At this time, we will not be offering Learn to Swim classes at our outdoor aquatic facilities.

To limit person-to-person contact, for upper-level classes (Level 3 & up) our swim instructor team will be teaching from the deck wearing a face covering with smaller class sizes. For lower-level classes (Level 1 & 2) class sizes will be further reduced with swim instructor in the water wearing face covering and face shield. In all classes, all efforts will be made to ensure socially distancing amongst participants.

Currently, we are not offering traditional preschool swim classes due to the need for close contact with student and instructor. We have extended our Child/Parent offerings to include the 3-5 year age group. The parent/guardian will be in the water with student while the instructor provides instruction to the parent on preschool level skills and ensuring water safety.

Classes are offered year-round for infants (6 months) through adults. Offering Parent/Child classes, Infant Swim classes, Preschool, Adult Beginner (ages 13+), Adult Advanced, Fear of Water classes, Adapted Swim (for beginners with disabilities) and Levels 1-6 for children.
