Traffic Signals & Signs

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is responsible for all traffic signals in Prince William County. To report a broken or malfunctioning traffic signal contact VDOT's Customer Service Center at 1-800-367-7623.

VDOT traffic signals are designed to:

  • Ensure the safe and orderly flow of traffic
  • Protect pedestrians and vehicles at busy intersections
  • Reduce the severity and frequency of accidents between vehicles entering intersections

TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS

VDOT PLACES AND MAINTAINS STOP SIGNS, YIELD SIGNS, SPEED LIMIT SIGNS, AND OTHER TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS. IF YOU FEEL A TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGN IS NEEDED, OR TO REPORT DAMAGED/MISSING SIGNS, CONTACT VDOT BY CALLING 1-800-367-7623.

STREET NAME SIGNS
