Virtual Event

Do you know how to help someone who has overdosed on opioids?

Overdoses can happen in unexpected situations and to anyone: a friend, a family member, a coworker, at home, outside, or in a public place. You may not know that someone is at risk of overdose-everyone should be prepared.

Prince William County Community Services is offering free workshops that provide the knowledge and confidence you need to potentially save a life during an opioid overdose emergency. During this 60-minute class, presented by a qualified instructor from the Behavioral Health & Wellness team, you will learn:

  • How to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose.
  • How to administer naloxone nasal spray to potentially reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
  • Other knowledge needed to fully respond to an opioid overdose emergency (what to do and not do).

Participants will receive naloxone nasal spray after completing the class.
