For more than two decades, Tom Burrell was a member of the Lake Ridge-Occoquan-Coles Civic Association, where he served as vice chairman of the association’s Planning, Environment Land-Use and Transportation Committee, along with other positions.
Burrell also served as vice chairman of Prince William County’s Future’s Commission, which studied what the County should look like in 2030. In addition, he served as vice chairman on Prince William County’s Land Use Advisory Committee, which updated the County’s Comprehensive Land-Use Plan, as well as on the McCoart Sector Plan.
Burrell served on several budget advisory committees that provided citizen input to a County supervisor on the annual County budget.
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors recently commended Burrell for his advocacy for neighbors across the County and for his significant contributions to the Greater Prince William community.
