The Prince William Health District What You Should Know:
COVID-19 versus “other” illnesses:
With the ongoing concerns of COVID-19 (and its variants), along with the usual cold-weather illnesses, it may be difficult to decide what should be done with certain signs of respiratory illness. Whether it is a sore throat, runny nose, congestion, or cough it is important to yourself and those around you to make the safe choice:
- Cover your cough/sneezes
- Wash your hands frequently (or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap/water are not available)
- Stay home when you don’t feel well
- Disinfect surfaces
- If symptoms are severe or if they persist for several days, contact your healthcare provider
