Police Department Recognizes Member Promotions

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, Police Chief Peter Newsham recognized several department members during a promotion ceremony. Since the last promotion ceremony, 17 sworn and professional staff members listed below have been promoted and were given the opportunity to be recognized by department leadership, their peers, and loved ones at today’s ceremony. The ceremony was held at the Charlie T. Deane Central District Station, 5032 Davis Ford Road, Woodbridge (22192). The Police Department takes great pride in supporting our members who have progressed in their careers and congratulates them on their achievements.

The Police Department would like to recognize the below sworn members and professional staff who were promoted:

Lieutenant - Promoted to the rank of Police Lieutenant: Sarah Rolle.

First Sergeant - Promoted to the rank of Police First Sergeant: Daniel Crane, Duane Kuykendall, Michael Scarsella and Victor Tomsko.

Sergeant - Promoted to the rank of Police Sergeant: Aaron Barnes, Luke Dean, Benjamin Fish, Samuel Harman, Christopher LeClair, Chad Mason, Ravinder Mehta, Sean Murphy, Christopher Paradis, and Jacob Tomb.

Professional Staff - Promoted within our Professional Staff: Arielle Blair to Fiscal Specialist; and Amy Wallace to Administrative Specialist.
