Virginia is part of a transition zone between areas where cool and warm season grasses thrive. This can make lawn care in our area challenging. If you're a first time homeowner, new to Prince William County or just looking to better manage your lawn, Virginia Cooperative Extension can help.

We offer help with interpreting soil test results, information on cultural practices, pest identification and pest control recommendations. The BEST Lawns Program can sample and measure your lawn for you and provide you with a fertilizer schedule that will help promote a healthy lawn. We also offer our "10 Steps to a Greener Lawn" class several times a year.
