The Prince William County Sheriff’s Office requires that the transferee must provide the CLEO copy Form 1 and Form 4 to the chief law enforcement officer (CLEO) who has jurisdiction over the area of the transferee's address.  In addition, the transferee is other than an individual, a copy of the FORM 5320.23, National Firearms Act (NFA) Responsible Person Questionnaire, completed by each responsible person must be provided to the Sheriff.

  • Approved fingerprint cards that are complete and legible.  Two fingerprint cards for each Form 4 or 1.  The Sheriff’s Office will do fingerprinting for a fee of $10.00 per two cards payable by MONEY ORDER or CREDIT / DEBIT CARD.  (Note:  Bring the Fingerprint Cards supplied by your Dealer).  Come to the Sheriff’s Office Monday thru Friday between 09:00 am and 3:00 pm (excluding holidays) for fingerprinting.
