The Budget

The total County general fund budget is $1,239,162,500 with an average tax bill of $4,177.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - 7.7% OF THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET
Average Tax Bill: Community Development accounted for $327 and 7.84% of the average residential tax bill in FY20.

 
GENERAL GOVERNMENT - 3.5% OF THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET

Average Tax Bill: General Government accounted for $151 and 3.60% of the average residential tax bill in FY20.


HUMAN SERVICES - 9.3% OF THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET
Average Tax Bill: Human Services accounted for $209 and 5.01% of the average residential tax bill in FY20.


 PUBLIC SAFETY - 23.6% OF THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET
Average Tax Bill: Public Safety accounted for $900 and 21.54% of the average residential tax bill in FY20.


 EDUCATION - 49.0% OF THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET
Average Tax Bill: School transfer accounted for $2,390 and 57.23% of the average residential tax bill in FY20. An additional $7 and
0.17% of the average residential tax bill in FY20 goes toward the Class Size Reduction Grant and 13th high school debt service.

NON-DEPARTMENTAL - 1.3% OF THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET

Average Tax Bill: Non-Departmental accounted for $31 and 0.74% of the average residential tax bill in FY20.
