Governance Committee
MISSION: The Prince William Continuum of Care (CoC) promotes the:
WHAT WE DO: The Continuum of Care Committee ensures that policies & procedures are implemented on behalf of the PWA CoC system that prevents and ends homeless for constituents. Additionally, the group utilizes data to determine how to shape policy and what additional resources are needed for the community related to homeless services.
MEETING TIMES: Fourth Thursday of each month from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Service Continuum Committee
MISSION: To make recommendations for consistent, effective, and efficient local service provision to achieve standardized performance measures adopted by the CoC. This committee will focus on special populations as determined by HUD, such as persons who are chronically homeless, families facing homelessness, and Veterans.
WHAT WE DO: The Service Continuum Committee develops streamlined processes to improve PWA services. The committee has created Coordinated Entry Policies and Procedures, a uniform Rapid Re-Housing application and strategic ways to improve barriers to Emergency Shelter.
MEETING TIMES: First Thursday of each month from 9:30am – 11:00am

Data and Needs Analysis Committee (DANA)
MISSION: To gather and analyze data from various sources including HMIS. The Committee will be responsible for collecting non-HMIS data and identifying non-HMIS data gaps. The Committee is also responsible for coordinating the Point-in-Time Count.
WHAT WE DO: The DANA committee develops strategic ways to retrieve data and identify gaps in service. This ensures that the most vulnerable populations in the PWA are served effectively.

Program Evaluation and Ranking Committee (PAR)
MISSION: To establish benchmarks for community needs; review the programs of local homeless services providers to insure they meet established goals; rank the services needed based on the most current gap and service needs analysis; and review the applications submitted for funding and make recommendations for action to the At-Large Membership.
WHAT WE DO: The PAR committee evaluates, scores, and ranks community project performance measures for state and federal grants. *Members shall not include any homeless service providers funded by HUD and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia.
MEETING TIMES: Second Tuesday of the month at 3:00pm
