There are many ways to Get Involved especially before a disaster occurs, the content found on this page will guide you find ways to take action in your community. Community leaders agree the formula for ensuring a safer homeland consists of trained volunteers and informed individual taking action to increase the support of emergency response agencies during disasters. Major disasters can overwhelm first responder agencies, empowering individuals to lend support.

Volunteer Prince William

Volunteer Prince William partners with community agencies to mobilize volunteers and resources to provide solutions for critical issues in our community, and coordinates all volunteer activities in the County during disasters.

Prince William County, VA ARES/RACES

The Prince William County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) consists of trained radio amateurs who provide public service communications support. Prince William Health District Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)

The Greater Prince William Medical Reserve Corps is a cadre of volunteer health care professionals and community members trained to respond to public health emergencies and support public health events in Prince William County and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park. This unit is one of approximately 800 units that are part of the national Medical Reserve Corps program under the direction of the Office of the U. S. Surgeon General and 1 of 31 in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

American Red Cross of the National Capital Region

The American Red Cross in the National Capital Region seeks to fulfill on a regional level the American Red Cross mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
