Adult Outpatient Services

Services are provided to residents of Prince William County, Manassas City and Manassas Park, ages 18 and older, without regard to race, gender, life-style, sexual orientation, religion, ethnic origin, or income.

Outpatient Services is a key element in the community system of treating mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders of individuals and their families which includes but is not limited to, PTSD, depression, schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, panic disorder, anxiety, schizoaffective disorder, personality disorders and substance use disorders (opiates, benzodiazepine, cocaine, alcohol, amphetamines, marijuana).

Adult outpatient services are offered at two locations depending on clinical assessment.

Comprehensive Outpatient Recovery Program (CORP)

Group, Individual and family therapy and education are provided for persons with moderate to severe levels of mental illness, substance use, or co-occurring disorders. This program includes multiple treatment components that are time-limited interventions to stabilize a person's psychiatric and co-occurring conditions (may include serious substance use). These services consist of diagnostic, medical, psychiatric, psychosocial, and psycho-educational treatment modalities designed for adults with serious mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders who require coordinated, intensive, comprehensive and multi-disciplinary treatment, but who do not require psychiatric or substance abuse inpatient treatment. Medically assisted treatment, women specific substance abuse/co-occurring treatment, substance abuse case management, psychiatric medication and peer recovery services are all part of the multi-dimensional services provided.

Clinical Behavioral Health Program (CBHP):

Behavioral health issues can affect your daily life in many profound ways. It can also make getting treatment and maintaining independence a challenge. Prince William County Community Services offer the following services to assist in getting the treatment and help you need.

CASE MANAGEMENT

Case Management services are offered to individuals who have a serious mental illness and provide links for services and supports that can enhance recovery, promote community integration and assist individuals in reaching their goals.

Drug Offender Services (DORS):

provides a range of intensive treatment services to adult substance dependent offenders, both on site at criminal justice agencies and in the community. Clients must meet eligibility criteria set by the criminal justice agencies and funding sources involved. DORS also offers a prevention/early intervention program for high-risk youth in the Georgetown South neighborhood in Manassas. Evaluations are provided at Adult Probation and Parole, Office of Criminal Justice Services and in the Adult Detention Center.

Treatment Services may include:

  • Outpatient group treatment in Manassas and Woodbridge (two to three sessions weekly)
  • Individual and family sessions in Manassas and Woodbridge
  • Intensive case management at criminal justice agencies, Community Services offices and at residential treatment sites
  • Random urinalysis in conjunction with criminal justice agencies
  • Referrals to 90-day contract residential substance abuse treatment programs
  • Jail based long-term day treatment program including family support group
  • Service coordination with probation agencies and adult detention staff
  • Medication assisted treatment for opiate dependence in conjunction with outpatient and residential treatment
  • Psychiatric services for clients with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders
