Project Overview
In 2021, the Department of Parks ad Recreation accepted a land transfer for the Davis Ford Park site located at 5901 Davis Ford Road in the Occoquan district. The site is a former stormwater management facility that was under the management of the County's Department of Public Works. the former pond on the site was filled in 2020 when it was no longer needed. In May 2023, Occoquan Supervisor Kenny Boddye directed staff to begin planning to develop a master plan for the site. The master plan process will include multiple chances for public input including public meetings and an online survey.

There were several posters which allowed participants to engage with the design process as they enjoyed their hike.
- Public Design Charrette - 5/7/2026
Staff presented the results of the feedback from the March 21 hike as well as three design concepts with varying levels of development and design elements. Attendees were given the opportunity to leave feedback on each of the concepts as well as individual elements included in the plans.
The slide deck is available below, and the three design concepts are available elsewhere on the project webpage.
