Telecommunicator Duties

As a team member, your shift will be filled with events that keep your adrenaline going. ​

911 Calltakers receive emergency and non-emergency calls for service, prioritizing for appropriate response, obtain pertinent information, provide pre-arrival instructions including CPR and dispatch public safety units. They receive, issue and enter case information into applicable databases and monitor various systems including alarms, recorders and dispatch equipment. They also perform a variety of clerical functions including answering phones, taking and transmitting messages, filing, completing work logs.  

Every day is different. 911 Calltakers are the FIRST of the First Responders.
