The Department of Public Safety Communications is the cornerstone of the County's comprehensive public safety response system. The department facilitates the flow of information in a seamless and rapid manner, and provides aid, comfort and instructions to the public prior to the arrival of police and fire and rescue field resources. Public Safety Communications operates a 24-hour consolidated call processing and dispatch center for all 911 and non-emergency requests for the Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, and Fire & Rescue services within PWC and the incorporated towns. Fire & Rescue calls for service are also processed and dispatched for the City of Manassas and the City of Manassas Park.

    Employee of the Month

Stephanie Drumm was recognized as the employee of the month after her critical role in saving the life of an 18-year-old that was struck on a bridge near Lake Jackson Dam by a hit-and-run driver. This teenager would have probably died but if not for the lifesaving efforts of all involved, especially those by Stephanie to locate him so that first responders could render aid.
