ADC CIT Advanced Training

ADC staff is making sure their team is equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary for any situation. 15 Officers and 1 Medical Staff furthered their education and training at a 2-day, 16 hour CIT Advanced Class. This training was geared specifically towards encounters that Jail staff may face. This is the 2nd class of its kind that the Greater Prince William CIT Team has put on. CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) prepares individuals to recognize and respond effectively when seeing signs and symptoms of illness. Officers trained in CIT are skilled in de-escalating through active listening and compassion.
