County to Host Career Expo and Resource Fair on October 30

The 2025 Prince William County Fall Career Expo will take place on Thursday, Oct. 30, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., at the Hylton Performing Arts Center at 10960 George Mason Circle in Manassas. Attendees will have the chance to connect directly with hiring managers, current employees and human resources professionals who understand the skills and experience needed for careers across county government. Prince William County staff will also conduct onsite interviews for select positions to reduce the time it takes to fill vacancies. 

In all, more than 20 county agencies will be represented. Opportunities include apprenticeships, internships, full- or part-time roles and volunteer opportunities in multiple departments and agencies including: 

  • Public Safety – Police, Fire & Rescue, Adult Detention Center, Sheriff’s Office, School Crossing Guards, Public Safety Communications 
  • Human Services & Community Support – Human Services, Community Services, Area Agency on Aging, Housing & Community Development, Public Health, Library 
  • Infrastructure & Operations – Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Facilities & Fleet Management, Building Construction, Inspections, Maintenance & Operations, Grounds 
  • Technical & Professional Services – Engineering (building, transportation, mechanical, electrical), Planning, Finance, Administrative Support, Human Resources, CDL Operations, Medical (psychiatry and nursing)  

The expo will also include a resource fair with a diverse groups, organizations and community partners which will showcase a wide range of programs and services. Attendees can connect with support services that help residents manage financial challenges, access local assistance programs, and discover new career opportunities. 

“What started as one event has expanded to a semi-annual event – in the spring and fall of each year,” said Adreanne Simms, HR Manager for Talent Acquisition. “Our career expo is our outreach to the community to offer help and connect people with meaningful work.”    

No registration for the Career Expo is needed. Walk-ins are welcome.
