Get ready to “Play All Day VA”! Join us for free activities on June 20
Come spend the longest day of the year with Prince William County Parks! Summer Solstice is on Friday, June 20, and Prince William County Parks & Recreation and the Virginia Recreation and Park Society invite you to join us for Play All Day VA. On June 20 we will offer FREE recreational activities all day long. This is your chance to explore new parks or try out a new activity - all for free! While there are no fees, advance registration is required.
Play All Day VA was established by two parks and recreation professionals from James City County Parks and Recreation. The idea was then presented to the Board of Directors for the Virginia Recreation and Park Society and the board adopted Play All Day VA as a statewide initiative for all parks and recreation agencies.
“This initiative encourages participants to get out and PLAY on the longest day of the year,” said Kat Fish, former President of VRPS and current board member, and General Manager of Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center. “The mission of Play All Day VA is to provide FREE programs and activities to the community from sunrise to sunset. This gives the community an opportunity to see what parks and recreation all is about."
Prince William County Department of Parks and Recreation has partnered with local organizations such as the Garden Club of Lake Ridge, Keep Prince William Beautiful, Prince William Area Agency on Aging, and Prince William Library System and is offering several programs from the east to the west side of the county.

* Storytime & STEM Activity
* Safe at Home, Safe Alone
* Jr. Lifeguard Day
* Stroller Walk
* Become an Eco Explorer!
* Fun with Art
* Kid Fit Party
