A New Online Catalog Is Coming to PWPL

We’re excited to announce that Prince William Public Libraries’ new Online Catalog will launch on Wednesday, August 26. The new Online Catalog will make it even easier to search, discover, and keep track of the books, movies, and more you want to enjoy next.

A Brief Catalog Pause

To prepare for the launch, the catalog will be unavailable on Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25. During this time, you will not be able to search the catalog, place holds, or access your account.

We encourage library card holders to check their account information before August 24—especially their primary phone number and email address—and make sure they are correct. Confirming that your primary phone number and email address are up to date will ensure that PWPL can help you transition your account to the new Online Catalog seamlessly when it goes live on August 26.

Save Your Lists

Have a list of titles you want to keep? Lists from the current catalog (called Bookmarks) will not transfer to the new Online Catalog.

Before August 24, please make a record of the lists you would like to keep. Here are three possible ways to record them:

• Copy and paste the titles into a digital document.
• Screenshot the lists.
• Write the titles on paper.

What to Expect on August 26

When the new Online Catalog goes live, please remember:

1. Update any saved bookmarks with the new Online Catalog web address.
2. Your PIN will change to the last four digits of the primary phone number listed on your library account.
3. We encourage you to change your PIN after logging in. If needed, you can reset your PIN as long as the account is linked to your email address.

Make the New Online Catalog Your Own

Once you’ve explored the new Online Catalog, create lists to save titles for later—whether you’re building a fall reading list, keeping track of favorite authors, or planning your next movie night.
