Prince William County invites residents to join a countywide Veterans Day initiative honoring the men and women who have served our nation.
“One Community, Many Heroes” is a digital campaign celebrating the veterans who call Prince William County home. Residents are encouraged to submit a photo of the veteran(s) in their lives to be featured in a digital Veterans Day showcase, a collective portrait of service and appreciation shared across the community.
The showcase will also feature messages of gratitude from the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, expressing the county’s deep respect and appreciation for all who have served.
To participate, residents can visit pwcworks.pwcva.gov/one-community-many-heroes to upload a photo. Submissions may include digital images, scanned photos or smartphone photos of printed pictures. Participants will be asked to provide their name, email address and magisterial district. If the veteran being honored did not reside in Prince William County, submitters should select their own district.
Multiple submissions are welcome, though a separate form must be completed for each veteran.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, to ensure inclusion in this year’s showcase. The “One Community, Many Heroes” digital gallery will debut on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, and will be shared on Prince William County’s official social media channels.
