Partnership with Area Agency on Aging Brings More Programs for Seniors

single news

If you’re 55 and older and looking for programs in your community that were created with your needs and interests in mind, the Senior Center Without Walls program may be just what you’ve been looking for. Brought to you by the Prince William Area Agency on Aging in partnership with Prince William County Parks and Recreation, the Senior Center Without Walls is offering programs like chair yoga, computer skills classes, AARP presentations on important topics, a holiday wreath making workshop and more, all free of charge to adults 55 and older. All programs are held at Veterans Memorial Park or the Pat White Center at Ben Lomond through December.

All the programs being offered are designed to support health, independence and social connection.

According to research from the Mayo Clinic, the quality and depth of your relationships matter deeply for healthy aging. Regular social interaction is vital for older adults because it improves mental health, protects brain function, and strengthens physical wellness.

We invite you to explore all the offerings available, and hope you’ll find something that interests you—along with an opportunity to learn something new, meet others and stay connected in your community.

For more information, please view the Area Agency on Aging's events page with the full schedule of Senior Center Without Walls programs.
