Prince William County Independence Day Holiday Closures

Prince William County government offices and several county facilities will adjust operating hours in observance of Independence Day. 

The following facilities will be closed:   

Friday, July 3  

• General Government Offices 

• Courts 

Friday July 3 – Sunday July 5 

• Prince William County Libraries 

Saturday, July 4 

• Prince William County Landfill  

• Balls Ford Road Compost Facility  

• All Prince William Parks and Recreation community and recreation centers, including the George Hellwig Administration Office at Memorial Park.  

Parks, trails, community pools and waterparks, and the Office of Historic Preservation will be open July 4.  

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead for any county services affected by the holiday schedule.
