Prince William County’s Office of Procurement Services will host its third annual Procurement Expo on Wednesday, March 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, located at 10960 George Mason Circle, Manassas.
This year’s theme, “Empowering Innovation, Upholding Integrity and Driving Impact,” reflects the county’s commitment to transparent and competitive procurement practices and a forward-looking approach that focuses on upcoming procurement needs and active engagement with the supplier community through strategic, value-driven partnerships.
The Procurement Expo is designed for established vendors, as well as businesses interested in working with Prince William County. Approximately 20 county departments and local resource partners will participate, providing vendors with direct access to county decision-makers and procurement staff.
“The Procurement Expo is about creating access and clarity,” said Shana Terry, director of the Office of Procurement Services. “By bringing vendors and county departments together in one place, we are helping businesses better understand our needs and processes, while ensuring the county remains open, competitive and responsive to new ideas and solutions.”
Feedback from past participants highlights the value of that direct engagement. Fari Parmaei, a participant in the 2025 Procurement Expo, said the event provided meaningful time to speak directly with county procurement staff.
“I think it was a great experience. It was fantastic the way they laid that out. And we have an opportunity and time to talk to the procurement officers,” Parmaei said. “This is the best free event. It was fantastic.”
“This event supports our broader goal of delivering high-quality services to residents through strong partnerships,” said County Executive Chris Shorter. “Engaging with the vendor community allows the county to explore innovative approaches, strengthen transparency and ensure taxpayer dollars are used effectively.”
During the expo, vendors will have opportunities to:
Exhibit tables will feature information on the goods and services county departments rely on to support operations and deliver services to residents. These interactions also provide opportunities for vendors and county staff to exchange ideas, explore innovations and identify solutions that support effective service delivery and county infrastructure.
