Prince William County to Mark 25th Anniversary of Sept. 11 with Special Remembrance Ceremony

Prince William County will mark the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, with a special remembrance ceremony honoring the 22 Prince William County residents and nearly 3,000 others who lost their lives that day.
Members of the community are invited to join the Board of County Supervisors and others at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Sean T. Connaughton Plaza, 1 County Complex Court, for an evening of remembrance, reflection and music.
In recognition of this milestone anniversary, the ceremony will bring the community together to remember those who were lost, hear personal reflections from individuals whose lives were forever changed by Sept. 11 and honor the lasting significance of that day.
The ceremony will continue the county’s tradition of honoring the 22 Prince William County residents who lost their lives through the reading of their names and other moments of remembrance. It will also include a special performance by the Madrigal Choir from Osbourn Park High School.
All are welcome to attend and be part of this special 25th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony as Prince William County comes together to remember, reflect and honor.
