Prince William County Transportation and Capital Construction to Host Fall Open House

The Prince William County Department of Transportation and Capital Construction, or DTCC, will host its fall open house to get input from county residents on current and future projects. DTCC will also seek feedback on how the department can continue to improve.
“Hosting an open house, along with other outreach efforts, supports our commitment to community outreach outside of public information meetings and public hearings, and promotes department transparency,” said DTCC Director Rick Canizales. “Past open houses have assisted the department in making important decisions on project priorities while understanding public interest for the project.”
The open house will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 28 at Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center, 9100 Freedom Center Blvd., in Manassas.
Attendees will learn about key mobility and facility projects in the western districts of Prince William County and how they best serve the community. Department staff will walk attendees through projects in the area and ask for input on future needed improvements.
Attendees will also learn how to submit service requests by using PWC 311. Most importantly, department staff will be on hand to answer questions and address concerns in person.
“We hope people leave with a better understanding of how our department serves the community and the planning and strategy that go into designing and constructing safe and efficient roadways, pedestrian facilities and buildings that support services for county residents,” Canizales said.
This open house will highlight DTCC projects and studies in the western end of the county, including the Devlin Road Widening project, the Prince William Parkway and Clover Hill Interchange, the Route 234 and Business Battleview Parkway project, and the Homeless Navigation Center-West.
