Spring 2026 Explore Now Available

If you’re looking for ways to enjoy the warmer weather, Prince William Public Libraries has you covered. Our Spring Explore magazine is now available at all library locations and online at pwcva.gov/department/library/explore-magazine.

In addition to program highlights, we hope you enjoy learning about National Library Week 2026, Volunteer Appreciation Month this April, and a new grant-funded program focused on bird flight path protection.

Program highlights include:

Pokémon Club: If you just missed Pokémon Day on February 27, don’t worry—we still have plenty of Pokémon fun this spring. Be sure to check out Haymarket Gainesville Library’s Unboxing video of the cool cards, swag, and more items they received from Pokémon International and ALSC – The Association for Library Service to Children.

Nature Fun! Whether you’re looking for a way to get the little ones outside, or you’re interested in nature activities, here are a few coming your way this month:

Garden Talk–For the Birds: Haymarket Gainesville
Adults
Saturday, March 7, 11:00 a.m.

Join the Virginia Bluebird Society to learn how you can turn your garden into a bird-friendly habitat, attract nesting bluebirds to your yard, and become a better bluebird landlord. Stay after the talk for a showing and discussion of the short film "Wild Hope: Building for Birds."

Little Rangers: Dumfries
Ages 3–6

Wednesday, March 11, 10:30 a.m.
Rangers from Leesylvania State Park will take your little ones on a nature adventure with reading, games, and crafts. The programs will explore insects, animals, and the world around us.

Saturday, March 14, 2:00 p.m.
Join us for a cluck-tastic Chicken Eggstravaganza featuring a chicken-themed story time, fun hands-on activities for kids, and a sweet treat for kids to take home.
