Tax Payments
Prince William County recognizes that many of our residents are facing financial challenges, including furloughs and job losses. There are some options for you.
PayPal: PayPal offers a wide array of payment options for flexibility and convenience.
Pay in 4: Split your purchase into 4 interest-free, bi-weekly payments.2
Pay Monthly: Enjoy the flexibility of 3, 6, 12, or 24-month payment plans with $0 down.3
If PayPal does not align with your preferences, we encourage you to contact the Tax Administration to establish a payment plan. Our Collections Division is equipped to assist with arrangements that facilitate the distribution of your tax obligations over time, thereby helping to mitigate additional potential costs. Recognizing that each situation is distinct, we adopt an individualized approach to payment options.
Payment Plans:
It is important to note that a single payment plan cannot incorporate a combination of past-due and not-yet-due account balances. Consequently, interests will continue to accumulate on any outstanding balance. Taxpayers must remit payment for any forthcoming bills by their respective due dates, in addition to the payments stipulated under any existing payment plan. Should a payment be defaulted, it will result in the cancellation of the payment plan.
You may be asked if you can make a partial payment now or when you will be able to begin making payments. This information helps us create a solution that works for you.
Taxpayers are always welcome to make pre-payments, which is similar to a payment plan but would ensure the total taxes are paid in full before the due date.
