If you’ve ever wanted to learn Tai Chi, or the proper way to use a kettlebell during your workout, or maybe learn about Chakras, then join us in December for these programs and more. Throughout the busyness of December, we encourage you to find balance for yourself and make time not just for holiday obligations but also for activities that you truly enjoy. Learn something new, get a workout in, or sign your kids up for activities. Below are some programs still open for registration in December.

Take a Fitness Class at Chinn

Looking for something to do this weekend? There are a variety of fitness classes happening at Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center tomorrow, Friday, December 1 and on Saturday, December 2. From Pilates Mat to Total Strength, to Yoga - take your pick! Find your class and register today.

Master the Kettlebell

In this class you will learn to master kettlebell techniques for a full-body, functional workout that incorporates strength and cardio—a challenging workout for all levels. Classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, December 5 – December 28 at Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center.  Ages 16+. Register here.

Work Out in the Water

This popular Aquabilities class provides a low-impact specialty class designed expressly for those with arthritis and joint issues or anyone who needs to move slower in the comfortability of a warm-water environment. Use the properties of water to increase range of motion, facilitate balance and strengthen the body. Guarantee your spot in this personal trainer-led, small group, personalized training class. Tuesday or Thursday class options, beginning December 5 and 7, at Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center. Click here to register.

Explore Tai Chi

Promote strength, balance, flexibility and stress management for a healthier you for a lifetime. Register for this class that begins December 7 to explore the many benefits of Tai Chi in a non-competitive and supportive atmosphere that is challenging and enjoyable. Beginners and all levels are welcome. For those first-timers who want to see what Tai Chi is about, you’re welcome to join the class at no cost on the last scheduled Thursday (12/28, 3-3:55 pm) of the month. Ages 14+ are welcome. Classes are held at Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center.

Learn Yoga (for teens)

Teens (ages 12-16) will learn Yoga poses while improving strength, balance and flexibility. All levels welcome. Thursdays, beginning December 7, from 4:45-5:45 pm at Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center. Register today.

Balance Your Chakras 

What are Chakras and why is it important to have them balanced? Chakras are energy centers in your body that correspond to specific nerve bundles and internal organs. Learn about the seven major Chakras as you feel the difference in each energy center. Class will end with a guided meditation. Register to join us at Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center, on Saturday, December 9, 1:30 – 3:30 pm. Ages 16+.

Take Your Little Ones to Story Time

Bring your little ones (ages 3-5) to join us for story time on Thursday, December 14, 10-11 am, at Pat White Center at Ben Lomond. This program will introduce young readers to theme related books and crafts. Designed for children to attend with a parent or guardian. Register today.
