VACo Award Winners

Recently, the ADC received the VACo award for their Reentry Center efforts. Since the inception of the Reentry Center in February 2024, the ADC has helped individuals transition back into society upon being released. From needs for shelter, to substance abuse issues, the Reentry Center has provided individuals with connections to the things they need most.

The VACo acknowledges those efforts and the Prince William Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center was awarded in October. The VACo award is an annual program that honors local government initiatives that demonstrate innovation and effective practices. With submissions from various counties from around the state, the award highlights successful programs that address various community issues, such as public safety or community development.
