Backpacking 102: Time to Backpack

You purchased or already had all the backpacking gear - so now what? Join us at Silver Lake Regional Park for a mock backpacking trip. We will be building on our Backpacking 101: Time to Start program. This four-hour program will give you the opportunity to pack your own gear, hike in and out of the park with a loaded pack, set up your campsite, practice your bear hang, and ask any questions along the way! We'll end the program by using our backpacking stoves to cook up a delicious back-country meal! We're confident that once you mock it, you'll be able to clock it all yourself! Participants are to bring their own gear.
