Breast Cancer Combo Class for a Cause!

Breast Cancer Awareness

On Saturday, October 28 wear pink and join us for a Breast Cancer Combo Class for a Cause! Together let's raise awareness for breast cancer during this invigorating Body 360+ and Xtreme Hip Hop Step class. 

Session 1: 9:30am - Body 360°+
Body 360° will increase your maximum strength and power with traditional and non-traditional exercises by using a variety strength equipment and unique bodyweight movements. Burn, sweat, tighten, and melt your body in this muscle sculpting, calorie burning, intense workout! The Body 360° + class adds an additional 15 minutes to your workout.

Session 2: 10:30am - Xtreme Hip Hop Step
This class provides a revamp of traditional step aerobics with fun routines set to old and new school hip hop, it makes you want to get up and move! All Fitness levels welcome!

Cost for Both Sessions: Free for Passholders | $12 Drop-in fee for nonmembers

Meet the Instructors:

Andrea Birmingham

Andrea Birmingham - Andrea Birmingham is a Finance and Loan Analyst with the federal government by day and fitness enthusiast by night! Andrea was born and raised in the great state of Texas and loves her family, friends, fitness, football (How ‘bout them Cowboys!?) food, and last but certainly not least, her three French bulldogs: Knox McCoy, Tatum Leo, and Koen Lux. Andrea is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a Group Fitness Instructor through the Athletic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Her other certifications include TRX, Zumba, and Beachbody’s Insanity and Core de Force; plus, she teaches a variety of class formats, such as Boot Camp, Circuit Training, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), and Total Body Strength. Andrea received her first group exercise certification in September 2011 and began teaching classes in January 2012. She also received her personal training certification in July 2018.

Simone Coleman

Simone Coleman -Simone is a youthful, fun, and energetic millennial who is thriving in the fitness arena. She is a native of Hampton Roads, VA and has her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Dance, and a Master of Public Health. Simone's background consists of ODU’s Dynasty Dance Team, Performing Arts Dancer, and Fitness Specialist with focus on Strengthening and Conditioning. On the daily, Simone promotes and protects individuals' health. She fully encompasses the healthy lifestyle and strives for her community to do the same in a fun way.

As a brain cancer survivor, Simone’s journey has inspired others to take control of their health in more ways than one. She believes “Fitness doesn’t have to be boring-everyone’s fitness interest and levels vary. Modifications are provided. Don’t be afraid to take your first step. You get one life, live it up and enjoy every moment of it.” Simone is a certified Barre Above, Xtreme Hip Hop Step Aerobics, and Xtreme Burn instructor. She brings forth a living spirit to the fitness community and welcomes people of all ages, levels, backgrounds, and lifestyles! She has hosted workshops for Breast Cancer, Women’s Engagements, Summer Outdoor Classes with youth, and Glow N’ Step themed classes to engage all ages from youth to seniors. Most of all, Simone enjoys working out, teaching others to embrace fitness in a new fun hip way, helping others to reach their goals, and grow in healthier habits!
