If you’re looking for some fun and entertaining things to do this month our June lineup has it all! We’ve got live music, an outdoor movie, some great entertainment at our amphitheater and a unique way to celebrate Juneteenth. Mark your calendars for these upcoming events.

Movie in the Park: How to Train Your Dragon – Friday, June 5, 9 pm
Come join us for a free outdoor movie night at Rollins Ford Park! How to Train your Dragon will be playing at 9:00 pm. A family movie night in the park is the perfect way to relax and enjoy a safe and special night under the stars. Bring your lawn chair or blankets for seating on the lawn. We will have popcorn and water. Feel free to bring your own snacks to enjoy. Please note alcohol is not permitted at this event. A parent or guardian must attend with children under the age of 16. No tickets are needed. Rollins Ford Park is located at 14500 Rollins Ford Road, Nokesville, VA 20181.

Fridays at 5: Delta Spur – Friday, June 12, 5 – 9 pm
Kick off your weekend with some live music from Delta Spur, Northern Virginia’s hometown country cover band, known for high-energy performances that blend current country hits with timeless classics. With a polished, dance-floor-ready sound. Grab your crew and head out to this FREE outdoor concert featuring delicious local food trucks, refreshing beer and wine for purchase (21+), and an unbeatable community vibe. Event takes place at Sean T. Connaughton Plaza, 1 County Complex Court, Woodbridge.

Reptile World – Thursday, June 18, 10:30 am
The Reptile World show at the Jean C. Smith Amphitheater is something you won’t want to miss. This popular show was designed to give audiences the opportunity to meet an interesting selection of live, large, colorful, and gentle reptiles from all over the world. Audiences enjoy discovering what reptiles are, what makes them different from birds and mammals, and how important they are in our environment. Many of the myths and misconceptions are dispelled, instilling a greater appreciation, and understanding of these fascinating reptiles. 

Ticket Pricing:

* General Admission (ages 2 yrs and up) – $6/per person
* Group Rate (10 people or more) – $5.50/per person
* Purchase and pay onsite at the amphitheater entrance at Locust Shade Park

Juneteenth at Lucasville – Friday, June 19, 11 am – 3 pm
Join us at Lucasville School Historic Site in honor of Juneteenth to learn about the celebration marking the emancipation of enslaved African Americans throughout the South. Visit the one-room schoolhouse to learn about the development of freedmen communities throughout Prince William County through Reconstruction and the Jim Crow Era. Registration is not required. All ages are welcome.

Heritage African Drum Circle/Storytelling – Saturday, June 20, 12 pm
Come join us at the Jean C. Smith Amphitheater for Heritage Village Project's African Drum Circle/Storytelling show. The Heritage Village Project is a 501(c3) Not for profit organization which partners with individuals and organizations to educate and promote African Arts and Culture. This free community cultural event will give the audience a taste of African drumming, movement, singing, storytelling and opportunity for crowd participation.
