Apply for Master Financial Education Volunteer (MFEV) Training Program

Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) is accepting applications for the Master Financial Education Volunteer (MFEV) Training program. Those interested in leading financial seminars, teaching budgeting tools or supporting clients as they create their financial goals and spending plans are encouraged to sign up. This training teaches adult education strategies and financial education skills. VCE staff will review the applications and schedule interviews before an individual is accepted into the training program. Acceptance into the training is based on a successful background check.

Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from February 22 through March 29, 2023, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The first and last sessions will be in person, and all others will be virtual. Applicants must commit to the entire six-week program.

The cost of the program is $65 and includes an MFEV polo shirt, a USB drive containing all training materials and a background check due upon acceptance into the program. Payments will be accepted through the Virginia Tech payment system.
