At this time there is no data to suggest that mosquitoes can spread Coronavirus. For information on mosquitoes and the transmission of coronavirus please see the American Mosquito Control Association statement here or World Health Organization graphic here

The Mosquito and Forest Pest Management program is a branch of the Construction and Operations Division in the Department of Public Works.

A mission of the program is to survey, reduce and control populations when possible, of mosquitoes and forest pests. This occurs through the use of an integrated pest management approach. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, in combination with available pest control methods, is used to manage pest damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment.
