Prince William County invites residents, businesses, and community partners to take part in the second annual Juneteenth & Me Festival on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Pfitzner Stadium Complex in Woodbridge.

Building on the success of its inaugural year, which saw between 4,000-5,000 attendees, the 2026 festival is expected to welcome even more attendees this year and feature more than 100 vendors, live performances, food trucks, wellness resources and family-friendly activities. The county encourages the community to get involved by serving as vendors, sponsors, exhibitors or volunteers.

Those interested in participating can sign up through the Juneteenth & Me “Get Involved” page: https://forms.office.com/g/YM7UbmrFU1

The festival is coordinated by Prince William County’s Office of Equity and Inclusion and hosted by H.U.E.S. (Health, Unity, Empowerment, and Success of Black Employees), an Employee Resource Group. The purpose of the festival is to create a meaningful space for reflection and celebration of Black history and culture - celebrating the voices, traditions and experiences that help shape the county’s vibrant community.

In the months leading up to the festival, residents can also engage in the “Road to Juneteenth,” a series of monthly community events hosted by H.U.E.S. and held at local Black-owned businesses. These evening events are open to the public and are designed to build momentum for the festival while strengthening community connections and supporting local businesses. Event details are shared on the Office of Equity and Inclusion’s website and social media channels.

“These gatherings reflect the true spirit of Juneteenth—celebrating history while strengthening our future by providing visibility and support for local businesses,” said Princess Clark-Wendel, Strategic Communications and Public Engagement Lead for Prince William County Community Services and H.U.E.S. Co-Chair.

“Juneteenth is both a reflection of our history and a call to action for our future,” said Rev. Dr. Cozy Bailey, a member of the county’s Juneteenth and Me Community Partnership Subcommittee and President of the Virginia State Conference of the NAACP. “Partnerships like this strengthen economic empowerment and community unity across our region.”
