Touch a Truck – Saturday, May 2 - Free
Come join us at Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday, May 2 (10 am-1 pm) for our Touch-A-Truck event! This is a family-friendly, hands-on event where kids of all ages can explore and discover a variety of vehicles up close! From fire trucks and police cars to construction vehicles and more, children will have the chance to climb inside, honk the horns and meet the heroes who operate these amazing machines. Don't forget your camera - this is a picture-perfect day for kids who love big trucks and loud noises! Food and ice cream will be available for purchase at this event. FREE for all ages.
Historic Preservation Month Tour – Saturday, May 2
In commemoration of Historic Preservation Month, join our Historic Preservation staff on a special bus tour to explore our current preservation projects. Meet at Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre for transportation to the Williams Dawe House, Woodland, and Ned Distiller House to learn out their history and preservation. *Lunch is included in ticket price and pre-registration is required. Click here to purchase a ticket. Bus tour is from 11 am - 4 pm.
Drive-in Movie in the Park: Zootopia 2 – Friday, May 8 – Free
Come join us at Ben Lomond Regional Park for a free family movie night in the park—the perfect chance to relax and enjoy a safe and special night under the stars. Bring your lawn chair or blankets for seating in the lawn or stay in your vehicle and experience an old-fashion drive-in movie feel. We will have popcorn and water. *Alcohol is not permitted at this event. Feel free to bring snacks to enjoy. Movie starts at 8:45 pm. A parent or guardian must attend with children under the age of 16.

Fridays at 5 – Outdoor Live Music – Friday, May 15 - Free
Fridays at 5 is back by popular demand! Kick off your weekend on select Friday nights with high-energy live music, dancing, and nonstop fun for all ages. Grab your crew and head out for this FREE outdoor concert series—featuring delicious local food trucks, refreshing beer and wine for purchase (21+), and an unbeatable community vibe. Event takes place at Sean T. Connaughton Plaza, 1 County Complex Court, Woodbridge.
On Friday, May 15 at 5 pm, the Highway Legends Band pays homage to the great legends of rock while forging their own unique style. Legendary names such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty, Chris Stapleton, Journey, Joan Jett, The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, Pat Benatar, The Beatles, and The Marshall Tucker Band are just a few examples of the artists and bands that make up the Highway Legends dynamic song library. The band plays great music across multiple genres and music eras from the 70's, 80's, on up. Think soaring guitar solos, tight in-the-pocket rhythms, and a bass line that grooves—all infused with the vocal talent and chemistry of its co-lead vocalists - Kat and Kenny with backup vocals by Ron and Andy. Get ready to experience the thrill of a live show that will have you singing along, dancing, and craving more. Highway Legends is not just a band; they're a sonic experience, a celebration of the great legends of rock and roll, and a force to be reckoned with.
Ben Lomond Day - Saturday, May 16 - Free
Ben Lomond's history spans centuries, from a Civil War hospital to a presidential retreat to a working farm. Experience the site's varied history all in one day through talks, demonstrations, activities, games, farm animals, tractors and more. Event held at Ben Lomond Historic Site at 10321 Sudley Manor Drive, Manassas from 11 am-3 pm.
Yard Sale - Saturday, May 16
Come shop, or sell at our community yard sale on Saturday, May 16 from 7 am-1 pm at Pat White Center at Ben Lomond. If you’re interested in selling, we provide you with a spot and locally advertise the event. Used household items only. No commercial sales, live flowers, or food and drink sales are allowed. Space size 10' x 20'. You must reserve space in advance, and spaces will be assigned. Fee to sell is $25.00 Call 703-792-8320 to register.
Golden Hour Guided Hike - Saturday, May 16
Experience the magic of nature as day turns to night with this guided hike along the Neabsco Creek Boardwalk from 7:30 pm-9:30 pm. As the sun sets, you’ll discover the incredible species of birds, beaver, muskrat, and other wetland creatures that call this beautiful place home. End the evening roasting a s’more over the fire.
