State Office of Human Rights

The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), Office of Human Rights, has as its basis rules and regulations to assure the rights of individuals receiving services from providers licensed, funded, or operated by DBHDS. The Department has the responsibility for assuring the protection and representing the interests of individuals receiving mental health, developmental disability, and substance abuse services in community programs.
