Prince William County is working with the telecommunications industry to help bring options for high-speed broadband access to areas of the County that have been waiting for service offerings to become available. This partnership will allow residents to purchase high speed broadband services.

In the spring of 2025, Prince William County completed a major broadband expansion project, delivering high-speed fiber-optic internet to 474 previously unserved or underserved areas across the county. The project was completed five months ahead of schedule and under budget by several hundred thousand dollars, and was funded using $1.35 million from the county’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocation. As a result of the expansion, fewer than 1.5 percent of county residents remain without access to high-speed internet.
