Prince William County is committed to achieving universal, high-speed broadband availability countywide.
- In 2025, Prince William County awarded a contract to Verizon to install broadband fiber-optic infrastructure in 470 unserved or underserved locations. The project was funded through the County’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocation and was completed ahead of schedule and under budget by several thousand dollars.
- In 2026, the Virginia Office of Broadband awarded contracts to Comcast, Wi-Fiber, Amazon and SpaceX to deliver highspeed broadband access to Prince William County’s remaining 397 unserved or underserved locations. The project was funded through the federal BEAD Program (Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment) which is part of the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
