    💵 Tax Payments by Mail

    📌 USPS Postmark Update – Important
    A USPS postmark reflects the date of automated processing, which may be later than the date you dropped off the mail. This may affect proof of timely filing for tax documents and payments.

    To ensure same‑day proof of mailing:
    • Request a manual postmark at a USPS retail counter
    • OR obtain a Certificate of Mailing, Certified Mail receipt, or Registered Mail receipt

    📬 When mailing a tax payment
    Use the return address printed on your tax bill and include:
    • Your payment
    • The tear‑off return portion of the bill
    Ensure the return address is visible through the envelope window.

    ⚠️ Important
    Mail sent to PO BOX 70519, Philadelphia, PA 19176‑0519 is processed by the County’s remittance processing bank.
    The return portion of the bill must be included to complete the transaction.
