Building Safety Professionals and You!

single news

The resilience of buildings that make up our community is achieved through the devotion of vigilant guardians – building safety and fire prevention officials, architects, engineers, builders, tradespeople, design professionals, laborers, plumbers, and you!

In many ways, building safety professionals are the first line of prevention in public safety. Building safety impacts our everyday lives, in our homes, schools, businesses and communities, which makes the role of modern building codes even more important. While you’re probably very familiar with what your local police and fire departments do, you may be less familiar with building safety professionals.

As part of our "Building Safety is Personal" theme, this week we're highlighting "Building Safety Professionals and You" which emphasizes the important role that building safety professionals play in keeping our homes, schools, and businesses safe.

You’re invited to meet local building safety professionals and talk about building safety. Join us on Tuesday, May 9, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Montclair Library, 5049 Waterway Dr, Dumfries, VA 22025 or Thursday, May 11, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, Chinn Park Library, 13065 Chinn Park Dr, Prince William, VA  22192.
