Committed Affordable For-Sale Units
The Prince William County Affordable Units Program consists of the sales of homes at below-market prices available to households earning up to 80% (Affordable Housing Units), and up to 120% (Workforce Housing Units) of the Area Median Income (AMI) as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area, adjusted for household size and updated annually.
How To Participate in the Program
- Apply to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility by completing the orientation and an application (See steps below)
- Certificate holders will be placed on a waitlist and will be able to apply to purchase an affordable unit if/when a unit becomes available
- Purchasers must be determined eligible to purchase a unit based on the unit's price, lender's pre-approval amount and other unit specific factors
