Virginia Commonwealth University Partnership for People with Disabilities (VCU-PPD) and the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) is conducting a survey of Area Agency on Aging (AAA) clients across Virginia. The aim of the National Core Indicators-Aging and Disabilities (NCI-AD) Adult Consumer Survey is to gather information about the services that AAA clients receive, their needs and preferences, and their quality of life. A random sample of AAA clients across Virginia will be selected for the survey and contacted by VCU-PPD staff. The NCI-AD survey is administered by VCU-PPD staff over the telephone. Participating in the survey is voluntary and completely anonymous. Your voice matters! If you are contacted by VCU-PPD, please consider participating. If you have any questions, you may contact Kathy Lee-Meredith by phone at 703.792.7150 or email [email protected] For more information about the NCI-AD Adult Consumer Survey can also be found at this website: http://www.nci.partnership.vcu.edu.

ELDERCARE LOCATOR

The Eldercare Locator is a public service of the United States Administration for Community Living, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The Eldercare Locator database is designed to help older adults and

their families and caregivers find their way through the maze of services available to older adults by identifying trustworthy local support resources. The goal is to link older adults and their caregivers to unbiased information and assistance resources at the state and community level.

The Eldercare Locator links those who need assistance with state and local area agencies on aging and community-based organizations that serve older adults and their caregivers. Whether an older person needs help with services such as meals, home care or transportation, or a caregiver needs training and education or a well-deserved break from caregiving responsibilities, the Eldercare Locator is there to point that person in the right direction.
