The City of Manassas Park, the City of Manassas, and Prince William County recently kicked-off a feasibility study for a 3-mile multi-use trail along the Manassas VRE Line between Downtown Manassas and Bull Run Trail in Fairfax County.
The Mobility Chapter of the County's Comprehensive Plan has directed the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) to initiate an update to the Countywide Trails Master Plan. DPR, Prince William Department of Transportation , and the Planning Office have begun this process and are aiming to complete the update in January 2026. Want to ride a bike but don't know how? Prince William County Department of Transportation and the City of Manassas recently partnered with the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) to host an Adult Learn to Ride Class on May 10, 2025. Bike to Work Day is an annual event held each year in the DC, MD, and VA Region with more than 100 pitstop locations. In 2025 the Greater Prince William County Area hosted 9 pit stops and provided participants free t-shirts, water bottles, bike lights, and refreshments to all registered participants. Prince William County Department of Transportation and Prince William Public Libraries are excited to announce bicycle repair kits will be available for check out at your local library this May. The repair kits include everything you need to perform routine maintenance and repair of your bicycle so you can keep riding with peace of mind.
