I did not have prior experience in this field, but the County representatives took the time to provide me with helpful information and guidance on how to move forward. Through those conversations, I was able to better understand Public Safety Communications, what the role required, and the steps needed to apply. As a result of that experience, I was able to secure a position as a Telecommunicator at 18 years old, where I now have the opportunity to serve and support the community I was born and raised in.”
