Christmas Trees & Greenery


Man with tree at a grinderAfter you remove all ornaments, decorations, tinsel, nails and the tree stand, you may recycle your cut tree and greenery at several convenient locations.  As a part of the yard waste collection program, curbside pick up by your trash and recycling collector may also be available.

Monday - Saturday, 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday, 8 a.m. –5 p .m.

Prince William County encourages residents to closely inspect their freshly cut Christmas trees for any sign of the spotted lanternfly. Mulching or composting your Christmas tree will help to prevent the spread of invasive insects. More information on the spotted lanternfly is available here.
