Household Hazardous Waste is accepted at the County Landfill Wednesday & Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. See the Location & Hours page for the most up-to-date days and times.

Electronic Waste is only accepted at the County Landfill.

Effective January 3, 2026, Electronic Waste collection hours are Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Electronics Recycling program is available during special hours at the landfill. Residents must get a ticket from the traffic control attendant before they will be allowed to use this program.

Prince William County residents should properly dispose of or recycle electronics at the County Landfill. Residents are limited to three units for disposal per visit. There is no charge to County residents for this service. Collections will be held in tandem with the Household Hazardous Waste Collection.

The program is only open at the Prince William County Landfill and is only available to Prince William County residentsElectronics will not be accepted from businesses or commercial users. Additionally, the program is unavailable to Manassas and Manassas Park residents.

    • Computer (CPU), notebook/laptop computer, and computer monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.
    • Small printers and small copiers*, fax machines and scanners
    • Ink and toner cartridges
    • Televisions, including picture tube, projection LCD, and plasma types
    • VCRs, CD/DVD players, stereos (no speakers)
    • Telephones and cell phones
    • Computer cables and cords, chips and cards, miscellaneous circuit boards
    • Other electronic equipment with a circuit board or electric cord

    *Large floor-standing copiers and plotter-type printers may be recycled in the scrap metal pile area after removing all inks and toners.

  • The items below cannot be recycled via the program, but can be disposed of at the Landfill or Compost Facility during regular operating hours are.

    • Kitchen appliances
    • Appliances containing Freon (refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners)
    • Medical equipment
    • Wooden stereo speakers
