What is a Virginia 4‑H All Star?

A Virginia 4‑H All Star is more than a recognition—it’s a mark of leadership, service, and lasting impact. This prestigious honor society brings together outstanding teen and adult leaders who are dedicated to strengthening and expanding 4‑H across their local communities and throughout Virginia. Becoming an All Star is the highest achievement a Virginia 4‑H member can earn.

 

From Learning to Leading

Every 4‑H journey begins with discovery—building knowledge, developing skills, and gaining confidence through hands-on experiences. Virginia 4‑H All Stars take that journey a step further. They transform what they’ve learned into action, stepping into leadership roles where they inspire, mentor, and guide others. By living the 4‑H motto, “Make the Best Better,” All Stars help shape the next generation of leaders.

To be eligible, members must:

• Have at least 3 years of 4‑H experience
• Be between the ages of 15 and 19
• Demonstrate a commitment to leadership and service

Service is at the heart of the All Star experience. Members work together to create meaningful opportunities that promote positive youth development across Virginia. Whether leading programs, mentoring younger members, or organizing events, All Stars are united by their dedication to teamwork, compassion, and community impact.
