Active Park Planning and Design Efforts
As part of the ongoing design and planning of the park system, the DPR Planning and Capital Projects Division often seeks public input on our active planning and design efforts. Review the projects that are currently underway, and follow the links to learn more and provide feedback.

Shenandoah Park Development
This project involves design and construction of a planned horticultural therapy facility at Shenandoah Park in collaboration with the Friends of Horticulture Therapy organization.

Countywide Trails Master Plan
DPR has initiated an update of the Countywide Trails Master Plan, which will be a companion to the trails map in the Mobility Chapter of the Comprehensive Plan.

Doves Landing Master Plan Project
With the approval of the Doves Landing Master Plan Report in October of 2022, DPR has moved into the design phase of the development of the Sinclair Mill Site and the greater Doves Landing Park.

Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail Gap Feasibility Study
Funded by a federal grant, DPR has hired a consultant to analyze the most feasible routes to close 3 gaps in the PHNST route in Prince William County.
