- Why are we waiting until January 3, 2026, to change the landfill operating hours?
The updated schedule becomes effective on January 3, 2026, allowing time for staffing, routing, and safety planning. This later start date also provides a six-month buffer for hauling companies, gives them time to adjust routes if needed, and allows our team additional time for internal scheduling and planning.
- Why are we closing earlier on certain days and opening on Sunday?
Closing earlier on certain days allows us to maintain existing staffing levels, while opening on Sunday ensures that we do not have labor cost increases. Specifically, starting January 3, 2026, the new hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with extended hours on Thursday (7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.).
- What are Thursday extended hours?
On Thursdays the facility is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., two hours later than other days.
